Back in 2021, I began my journey as an indie game developer. Since then, not only has my taste evolved, but so have my skills.
Whenever I show somebody my work, they're often impressed. As if I have some kind of natural talent. But the truth is much more simple. When I started, I didn't know how to model in 3D, bevel shapes in Photoshop, write a catchy melody, or do any of the things I can do today. I just kept learning, practicing, and figuring it out one step at a time.
I wanted to share my journey here because I remember what it felt like to look at other people's work and wonder why I wasn't capable of making something that good. It all seemed impossible to me. But every skill I've learned along the way started with me not knowing what I was doing, but choosing to try anyway.
If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that we're all far more capable than we give ourselves credit for. Sometimes the only difference between the person who can do something and the person who can't is that one decided to keep going anyway.
